The 12th concert in the Les Inspirations Visibles series pays tribute to Alvin Lucier, a major figure in contemporary music and a close associate of John Cage. Under the artistic direction of Stephen O'Malley and Hampus Lindwall, three of the composer's works will be performed in the majestic Église du Saint-Esprit in Paris: Criss-Cross (2013), Glacier (2009) and V (2018), by Charles Curtis (cello), Stephen O'Malley and Oren Ambarchi (electric guitars), for whom these pieces were written.

The performances at the Eglise de Saint-Esprit promise an exceptional evening of deep listening and total immersion in sound. The architectural volumes of the church will be gradually saturated with the acoustic results and harmonic spectra aroused by the specific characteristics of the location. As the sounds interact with the physical space, listeners will inevitably experience the unique aural and poetic sound phenomena that Lucier so expertly conjured throughout his extraordinary career.
